Interestingly enough, Windows 7 does correctly identify the device in the device manager, so I think it knows what product it is, but for whatever reason does not have the correct driver and cannot initiate the device, thus giving the error code. I have updated the Linksys Wireless-G USB network Adapter with SpeedBooster, with no results, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver it is recognized in the network and sharing, as I stated in the beginning it has a red X and will not connect. I heard about the Ralink option, but the only drivers I could find were for 64 bit, but I’m running 32 bit, and the ralink Unfortunately in your case it’s going to be up to the hardware manufacturer to provide them, and this just may not happen.
