There appears to be a generic utility — Odyssey Access Client — which has a Win9x version and can control any wireless device, but it is not free.

It might work better in Windowsthough. That seemingly stopped the crashing. The same driver may support all three, but not necessarily so.

I did this just to prove a point – that Windows was rejecting the device as it determined the drivers were’t a suitable match for it. It also has a few other useful functions. Win98sw networking is not a problem, but wireless can be challenging.

There is also one “unknown device” in the Device Manager, and I am not sure what it is, but so far I cannot think of anything important that it might be. At this point I cannot get the wireless to work.
