I also did a disk utility erase and partition to create one partition and it failed again. I don’t know why this worked but it did.
This has happened twice. Console always reports a “Bus error” of some kind. The first time I used the card, I tried to use the Disk Utility to “restore” my boot drive to the eSATA, as soon as I entered my apootek password, an immediate kernel panic.
